How to enable the development of portals of strategic information within minutes?

We used to work like this. Every new team that comes to work with our platform of strategic information would first have a training session and after that, they would be able to create and update pages of content, but not the most complex pages, like home pages. My team would assume all the most complex development in every project.

While the number of projects increased, we needed to make it easier for business professionals to create everything they needed, while maintaining our design patterns.

Soon, we realized that instead of many weeks of programming, we could just pack all the common code inside “magic words”, and the system would bring all the code whenever those words are used.

So, if you need a header with a background picture as a title: a single magic word does the trick, users only need to type a few parameters, like the URL of the picture. The same thing for making a carousel of banners, in this case, 2 magic words! Since all the pages can be created using only magic words, we say that our platform became low-code.

We made it even easier. You don’t need to remember all the magic words anymore. We created a menu where you can find all the available elements. Now it’s just about selecting what you want to appear on the page and typing the parameters.

The result is that, when before we needed to work for a few weeks in a solution of content management, now we have business professionals doing the same job in hours, or even minutes. Good for us and even better for them, that now have autonomy.
